zero mass media is working on republishing cartoons by Gustave Verbeek, a Dutch-American cartoonist by way of Nagasaki, who produced comic strips for New York newspapers in the early 1900s. He is best known for his form-bending "The Upside-Downs", which was read both rightside-up and upside-down, and also for "The Terrors of the Tiny Tads", which featured bizarre amalgamations such as hippopautomobiles and pelicanoes.
